Group

Cyril Smessow is responsible for the website design and the development of various functional components within the project. His role involves shaping the visual identity of the website but also implementing core functions that will be integrated into the final application. Cyril’s work lays the foundation for the project’s usability and overall efficiency. He provides the fundamental building blocks that will later be assembled into a cohesive and fully functional tool.

On the other side, Victor Rigot is in charge of the user interface and the seamless integration of Cyril’s code into the main project. His work revolves around structuring the application’s UI to ensure a smooth experience while making sure all the different parts of the codebase work together without issues. Beyond just implementing the visual layer, Victor also plays a key role in compiling, debugging, and merging various elements to ensure a stable and well-functioning software. Acting as the link between design and execution, he ensures that the project’s components are well-implemented, resulting in a polished final product.

Project.

The Picture Editor is an ongoing project aimed at providing users with a comprehensive set of tools for image editing. While the current version includes basic functionalities like loading, saving, and applying filters, we are actively working on expanding its capabilities.

In the near future, we plan to introduce tools for geometric shape insertion, allowing users to add rectangles, squares, circles, and lines to their images. Additionally, features for selective image editing, such as an eraser tool to remove parts of the image, will be incorporated. These enhancements will provide users with greater creative control over their projects.

Beyond these, we are exploring advanced functionalities like layer support, undo/redo actions, and sophisticated effects such as blurring and sharpening. Our goal is to create a versatile and user-friendly tool that caters to both casual users and professionals.

Stay tuned for updates as we continue to develop and refine the Picture Editor. Your feedback and suggestions are invaluable as we work towards delivering a polished and feature-rich application.

Load

The Load functionality allows users to upload images from their local device to the website. Once an image is selected, it is displayed in the editor, ready for further modifications. This feature ensures that users can easily bring their own content into the application for editing.

Save

The Save functionality enables users to download their edited images back to their device. Users can choose a filename for the image, and the application ensures that the saved file includes all applied filters and modifications. This feature guarantees that users can retain their work for future use.

Filters

The Filters functionality provides users with tools to apply various visual effects to their images. Options include grayscale (to convert the image to black and white) and negative (to invert the colors). These filters can be applied and removed dynamically, allowing users to experiment with different looks for their images.

Demo

The Demo section is a simulation of how the application works on the website. It allows users to interact with the core functionalities—such as loading images, applying filters, and saving the results—directly in the browser. This provides a hands-on experience of the application's capabilities without requiring any external tools or downloads.
